What is the ruling on a husband preventing his wife's sister, father, and mother from entering his home due to personal disagreements, and is it permissible for the wife to meet her brother outside the home in this situation?

The fundamental principle is that a husband has the right to prevent his wife from permitting anyone to enter his home, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "It is not lawful for a woman to fast while her husband is present except with his permission, and she should not allow anyone into his house except with his permission," and his saying: "And you have rights over them, that they should not allow anyone whom you dislike onto your beds." However, a husband is not permitted to prevent his wife's parents from visiting her, unless he fears that they will corrupt her. Some jurists hold that a husband does not have the right to prevent them even if he fears their corrupting influence; rather, they should be prevented only to the extent that the corruption is removed. Some scholars have equated siblings with parents in this ruling. It is advisable to communicate with the husband gently and wisely, explaining that any disagreement between him and the wife's family does not justify preventing them from visiting her, and that such prevention severs ties of kinship, which is a major sin. If the husband insists on prevention, then the wife is excused, and the sin of severing ties falls upon him.
