Why does God not answer my prayers, even though I am not a great sinner and perform many acts of obedience?

It is advised not to despair of the supplication being answered, for Allah answers whoever supplicates to Him. Allah may reserve for His servant in the Hereafter something better than what he desired, or avert evil from him. Supplication is beneficial in all circumstances, and it is an act of worship for which a Muslim is rewarded, even if the answer is delayed. It is necessary to utilize lawful means along with supplication to achieve what is desired.
