Does God's not answering my supplication, despite my adherence to religious duties and piety, mean that God does not want to answer it? And what should I do for God to answer my urgent supplication?

A vow does not bring about the desired outcome; rather, Allah uses it to extract from the miser. It is also not a means of attracting benefit or repelling harm. Instead, the way to achieve this is through supplication and righteous deeds. It is not a condition of Allah's love for a servant that He answers every supplication they make, for He may withhold it due to a wisdom He knows, glorified be He. Allah may prevent a servant from receiving what they asked for despite their steadfastness and obedience, as happened to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. The servant should not despair of Allah's mercy or grow weary of supplication, for one of the conditions for the acceptance of supplication is that the servant does not hasten. Allah might have withheld the matter from the servant because it would be harmful to them. Allah Almighty says: "But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah knows, while you know not." (Al-Baqarah: 216).
