Is reading the book of Abu Ma'shar al-Falaki, and calculating the numerical values of names to determine compatibility between people, and reading horoscopes in the manner mentioned, considered unlawful (haram), even though it does not predict the future but describes characteristics, and the accuracy of its results has been proven in previous cases? And if it is unlawful, is it forbidden to discuss it or to create the talismans mentioned in the book?

All horoscopes are forbidden, whether they pertain to the future or to personal traits, because they are offshoots of the forbidden science of astrology, which is a type of fortune-telling. It is forbidden to publish horoscopes of luck, to look at them, to promote them, and to believe in them as part of disbelief. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, warned against believing in these false means of knowing the future. The science of charts and talismans is invalid.
