The answer

Khamr (wine/intoxicant) is that which clouds the intellect. Everything that possesses this characteristic among liquids is alcohol, the use of which is forbidden. Therefore, its use in medicine or its inclusion in perfumes is religiously prohibited. However, if alcohol, during the manufacturing of perfume, transforms into another substance such that it loses the name of khamr, then its use is permissible. And if the alcohol is not a result of the fermentation of juice, then its use is permissible.
