It is not correct for a Muslim to choose the easiest opinions, as that leads to shirking religious obligations, because most scholarly issues are subject to differing opinions. "Whoever seeks out concessions becomes a heretic." A person should choose the opinion strongest in evidence if they are qualified to do so; otherwise, they should imitate the most knowledgeable, pious, and devout of scholars.
