What are the fundamentals of Islam agreed upon by the Companions, the Tabi'un, and the scholars of the virtuous generations?

The fundamental principles of Islam, agreed upon by the Prophet's Companions and the Imams of Islam, are numerous. Among them are: bearing witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; affirming Allah's exclusive Lordship and establishing His names and attributes; worshipping Allah according to His law; venerating and loving the Prophet; establishing prayer; paying Zakat; performing Hajj to the House; fasting Ramadan; believing in angels, books, messengers, the Last Day, and divine decree (Qada' and Qadar); loyalty and disavowal (Al-Wala' wal-Bara'); contentment with Allah, with Islam, and with Muhammad as a Prophet and Messenger; loving and hating for the sake of Allah; loving the Companions; disbelieving in whatever is worshipped besides Allah and hating disbelievers; believing in the perfection of the religion and the finality of prophethood; believing in everything that has come in the Book and the Sunnah; prohibiting what Allah has prohibited and permitting what He has permitted; and that judgment belongs to Allah alone.
