What is the ruling on agreeing to the terms and conditions of operating systems and software that include a mandatory recourse to infidel courts, and is it permissible to continue using such programs?

There is no harm for a Muslim to sign contracts that include recourse to man-made courts when necessary. This is permissible for the sake of achieving benefits, repelling harms, and securing rights when a Sharia (definition)-compliant alternative is unavailable. Merely signing is less harmful than litigation. When signing, a Muslim should intend to affirm what is permissible, not what is forbidden, and should not forgo benefiting from programs due to this condition.
