What is the ruling on working for a fictitious company that does not exist, where money is paid by an individual who does not represent the company, noting that the worker does not attend work but is ready for it whenever requested?

The answer depends on the question. If the questioner states that the employee's employer asked him not to come to work while still paying him his salary without work, and did not mention any deception or trickery, then this differs from a situation where the company is fictitious and the money does not come from the company, which indicates deception and fraud. This is not permissible because deception and trickery are forbidden. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The one who pretends to have what he has not been given is like one who wears two garments of falsehood," and "Whoever cheats us is not of us," and "Whoever deceives is not from me," and "Deceit and treachery are in the Hellfire." This applies to all deception, trickery, and fraud in any field and to anyone.
