Is it permissible for a woman to marry someone she deems suitable for her, without the consent of her father who insists on her marrying a Saudi man, given her mother's approval and knowing that her personality does not align with Saudis?

Customs and traditions must conform to religion; otherwise, they must be abandoned. Islam has guaranteed women their freedom and honored them. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, enjoined kindness towards women and clarified the necessity of seeking their permission before marriage. Scholars have agreed on the validity of a mature, previously married woman's consent, and the correct view is that a mature virgin cannot be forced into marriage; rather, her consent is required. It is not permissible for a mature girl to be forced into marriage with someone she dislikes due to a flaw in his religion, character, or disposition. A girl can resort to scholars or the court if reconciliation efforts fail. The majority of scholars stipulate the guardian's consent for the validity of the marriage, so marriage without the father's consent is not permissible. A word of advice for the girl is not to accept anyone except a man who is pleasing in his religion and character, and to marry someone who is compatible. As for refusing to marry any young man from her country, this is an exaggeration of pessimism, and it is advisable to strive to marry a righteous young man from her environment due to the positive consequences it entails.
