The answer

It is permissible to sell birds whose meat is consumed, or which are used for hunting, or from whose color or sound benefit is derived. As for birds that are not eaten, not used for hunting, and from whose color or sound no benefit is derived, it is not permissible to sell them, due to the absence of any benefit in them. Their sale would therefore fall under consuming wealth unlawfully. This is with due consideration of the general regulations for selling goods, such as them being pure, permissible, and deliverable.
