What is the most sound opinion regarding the effect of حجامة (cupping) on the state of ihram?

Cupping (hijama) is the incision of a body part and the suction of blood from it for the purpose of treatment. It is recommended due to the Prophet's ﷺ saying: "If there is any good in your remedies, it is in a cupper's incision, or a drink of honey, or cauterization with fire that suits the ailment," and his saying: "The best thing you can treat yourselves with is cupping." Cupping does not contradict the state of ihram, nor does it affect it, as the Prophet ﷺ underwent cupping while in ihram. If cupping necessitates shaving the head, it is permissible with the obligation of a fidyah (expiatory sacrifice), as Allah says: ﴿And whoever among you is ill or has an ailment of the head [making him need to shave] — then [for him] must be a fidyah of fasting or charity or an offering.﴾ If one shaves without an excuse, he is sinful and the fidyah becomes obligatory upon him.
