Do the brothers and sisters of the deceased, who had no sons and only daughters, have a share in the inheritance?

The full brothers of the deceased, or the half-brothers from the father's side, inherit along with his daughters if the deceased has no male inheriting offspring (son or grandson) and no father. As for uterine brothers (from the mother's side only), they do not inherit at all if there is any inheriting offspring (male or female) or any male inheriting ascendant (father or grandfather).

We emphasize that inheritance issues are serious and complex. A mere fatwa is not sufficient; rather, they must be referred to Sharia courts for investigation and to ensure that there is no other heir, or any wills or debts that take precedence over the heirs' rights.
