What is the ruling regarding a man saying that hadiths which contradict the Qur’an and reason are false and fabricated, even if they are in Bukhari and Muslim, considering Bukhari and others to be like distorted heavenly books, and that what is valid is the Qur’an and whatever hadiths agree with it, even if they are weak?

Every hadith whose attribution to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is authenticated, cannot contradict the Quran or sound reason. For all are from Allah, and any perceived contradiction between them is due to the ignorance of the one perceiving it or the deficiency of his intellect. If it is known that two statements appear to contradict each other, then this should be interpreted as a difference in time, or between two groups, or two individuals, or two descriptions. The scholars of the Ummah have agreed upon the acceptance of the hadiths in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, and that they are the most authentic books after the Book of Allah.
