Is the Hadith that mentions that whoever invokes blessings upon the Prophet eighty times on Friday, after the 'Asr prayer and before leaving his place, Allah will forgive him the sins of eighty years and record for him the reward of eighty years of worship, authentic and actionable?

The hadith (definition) that states: "Prayer upon me is a light on the Sirat. Whoever prays upon me eighty times on Friday, his sins of eighty years will be forgiven," is very weak. Its isnad (definition) (chain of narration) includes three weak narrators: Ali ibn Zayd ibn Jad'an, Hajjaj ibn Sinan, and Awn ibn Ammarah. A number of imams have declared it weak. It has a supporting narration from the hadith of Anas, which is also very weak due to a defect in it, and signs of fabrication are apparent on it. The authentic hadiths suffice us from such as this, like his (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever prays upon me once, Allah will pray upon him ten times."
