Are employees who work in a city more than 100 kilometers away from their place of residence, and who reside at their workplace for a period not exceeding five consecutive or non-consecutive days, considered travelers for whom it is permissible to combine and shorten prayers? If not, is it permissible for them to combine prayers with jam' taqdeem before leaving their workplace?

The distance exceeding 83 kilometers from the last houses of the city is a distance that permits shortening prayers (qasr), and it is permissible to combine and shorten prayers (qasr and jam') in it, provided the journey is lawful. Anyone who stays for less than four days at their place of work remains a traveler, and it is permissible for them to combine prayers (jam') in advance before traveling to their place of residence. However, for someone who intends to stay for four full days, excluding the days of arrival and departure, it is not permissible for them to shorten or combine prayers. Upon returning, one should not shorten or combine prayers until after passing all the houses of the village where they were residing.
