Is it unlawful to consume food and products from a foreign company that has opened a branch in the city, knowing that there is no proof of its lawfulness for a Muslim except what is written on the product?

Originally, it is permissible to eat meat imported from the People of the Book (Jews and Christians), based on the Almighty's saying: "{The food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you}," unless it is known that they violate the conditions of lawful slaughter (Dhabihah), such as invoking a name other than Allah, or not cutting the windpipe and the two jugular veins, or killing by stunning before slaughter. As for meat imported from non-People of the Book, it is not permissible to consume anything that requires slaughtering from it, but it is permissible to consume what does not require it, such as fish and plant-based foods.
