What is the ruling of the Sharia on allowing a wife to interact with some trustworthy brothers to compensate for her feeling of loneliness in a non-Islamic environment?
It is not permissible for a woman to mix with non- men due to the sedition and dangers that result from it. If you are unable to live in an Islamic society, then you must protect your wife from mixing with non-mahrams, seek out righteous female companionship for her, provide her with beneficial religious books and tapes, entertain her with permissible activities, and encourage her to be patient and perseverant. Life consists of a few days; whoever excels in it will have their reward with Allah, and whoever does evil, it is against themselves. Allah the Almighty says: "Blessed is He in whose hand is the dominion, and He is over all things competent - He who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed."
