Is it permissible for a husband to recite the remembrance of Allah (dhikr), the surahs of seeking refuge (Mu'awwidhat), and Surat Al-Mulk, and to wipe his hands over his wife's body while she is menstruating, or in postpartum bleeding, or in a state of minor ritual impurity?

It is permissible for a menstruating woman and a woman in postpartum bleeding to recite the Qur'an from memory, to engage in the remembrance of Allah (dhikr), and to supplicate at all times. It is also permissible for her husband or someone else to recite to her. The recitation of the Qur'an is only prohibited for a person in a state of major ritual impurity (junub). Some scholars, however, have permitted the recitation of certain verses by a junub person for ruqyah (exorcism), seeking refuge, and deriving evidence. It is prescribed to wipe the body with the hands after blowing into them with the recitation.
