Is it permissible for there to be mixing at work out of necessity, in a single workplace that includes men and women without partitions, and is it permissible for a husband to compel his wife to leave work that involves mixing, even if it is minimal?

It is not permissible for a Muslim woman to work in places where she mixes with men, due to the corruption that arises from such mixing. This is only allowed in cases of extreme necessity, provided she adheres to the Islamic guidelines, such as covering herself, lowering her gaze, not displaying her adornment, not speaking in a soft and alluring manner, and being cautious of shaking hands or being in seclusion [with a non-mahram (definition) man]. A husband has the right to compel his wife to leave mixed-gender work if he perceives any suspicion in it, especially if the woman is not in need of the work.
