What is the ruling on eating meat slaughtered in Arab countries that do not apply Islamic Sharia, and is it permissible to inquire about the slaughterer?

Eating a slaughtered animal is permissible if the slaughterer is Muslim or from the People of the Book, regardless of whether the country applies Islamic law or not. One should not investigate or inquire about the validity of the slaughterer's Islam or the manner of their slaughter. Rather, their action should be presumed sound. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about people who bring meat, and it was not known whether they mentioned Allah's name over it or not. He said: "Mention Allah’s name yourselves, and eat." And they were recently out of disbelief. This indicates that the original presumption for an action performed by its people is soundness and validity.
