If ablution is nullified after wearing two socks (khuffayn) while in a state of purity, it is permissible to wipe over them with the intention of removing them after the prayer; for their remaining for the entire duration of wiping is not a condition. If the outer sock is removed to fix what is underneath it before wiping, this has no effect, and it is permissible to wipe over them as long as they were worn in a state of purity. It is permissible to wear two socks on one foot or on both feet, and it is valid to wipe over them.
