The answer

It is not permissible to supplicate against one's father. However, since you have repented of this sin, Allah is All-Forgiving, All-Merciful; He forgives all sins for those who repent, as He said: "Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the All-Forgiving, the All-Merciful.'" And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin." So, have good expectations of your Lord and trust that He will accept your repentance. Strive to show righteousness to your father after his death by supplicating for him and giving charity on his behalf. Repent from abandoning prayers and committing sins, and strive to draw closer to Allah.
