The answer

If you are coming to Jeddah to perform Umrah after finishing your exam, you must enter into the state of Ihram from the Miqat of the people of Najd (Qarn Al-Manazil or Al-Sail Al-Kabeer). If you pass the Miqat without entering Ihram, you are obligated to return to it and enter Ihram from there after your exam. If you do not return and instead enter Ihram from your current location, you are required to offer a sacrifice (dam) to be slaughtered in Makkah and distributed among the poor of the Haram. Ibn Uthaymeen affirmed that it is not permissible to delay Ihram beyond the Miqat for someone intending Umrah, and whoever passes the Miqat with the intention of performing Umrah must return to it to enter Ihram.
