Is it permissible to work for a company that creates websites for satellite channels that do not adhere to Islamic morals, and is the salary earned from this work lawful, taking into consideration the possibility of waiting for an alternative job?
It is not permissible to work on creating a website for a channel that broadcasts forbidden content, because of the Almighty's saying: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." However, if you are forced to remain in this job to earn a livelihood and cannot find an alternative, then it is permissible for you to stay until you find another job, because of the Almighty's saying: "And He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden you, except for that to which you are compelled." As for past salaries, their ruling depends on the type of work you performed: if it was permissible, it is lawful; if it was forbidden, it is unlawful.
