Is it permissible to rent or buy a commercial shop established on land that was a place of prayer (musalla), then converted into a bar, and then into commercial shops?

If the owner designates a place for prayer (musalla) and grants general permission for people to pray therein, it is no longer considered his property and is regarded as a waqf (endowment). It is not permissible to alter its intended use or demolish it. Therefore, the heirs must be advised to restore the place as a musalla as it was, because it has ceased to be the property of their deceased relative and has become a waqf for Allah. It is not permissible to buy or rent it from them, for that would be removing the endowed property from its waqf status and cooperating in sin.
