Is it permissible for a menstruating woman to attend Eid prayer?

Her menstruation does not prevent a menstruating woman from attending the Eid prayer. Rather, she should witness the goodness and the supplication of the Muslims, but she should avoid the prayer. This is based on the statement of Umm Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her): "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) commanded us to bring them out on Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha: the young virgins, the menstruating women, and the secluded women. As for the menstruating women, they should avoid the prayer and witness the goodness and the supplication of the Muslims."
