Is it permissible to perform the 'Tahiyat al-Masjid' (greeting the mosque) prayer, the 'Sunnah al-Wudu' (prayer after ablution), and then the 'Sunan Qabliyyah' (pre-prayer supererogatory prayers) for the obligatory prayer after the Adhan?

The Hanbalis, in the well-known position of their school, prohibit prayer after dawn breaks, except for the two rak'ahs of Fajr. They do not permit praying the Sunnah of Wudu, Tahiyyat al-Masjid, or other supererogatory prayers during the prohibited time after dawn breaks. Jurists have differed regarding the prohibition of prayer after Fajr: whether it is after dawn breaks or after performing the Fajr prayer. The conclusion is that Tahiyyat al-Masjid and the Sunnah of Wudu are prayed after the adhan by consensus, except after the Fajr adhan, where they have differed on their performance. The fatwa issued by us permits performing them after the entry of Fajr, because they are among the prayers that have a reason (Dhawāt al-Asbāb).
