Is a father's rejection of his son marrying a religious and respectable girl, simply because she is from another city, nine months older than him, and her father works as a driver, considered disobedience if the son insists on marrying despite not being convinced by the reasons for the rejection?

If the girl is religious, the father should be persuaded by the words of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Marry the religious one, and you will prosper." Religion is more important than wealth and lineage, and an age difference is not a problem, as what matters is piety. If the father does not agree to the marriage, it is advisable not to disobey him, out of concern for his رضا (pleasure/approval), unless the young man fears falling into sin, in which case he may marry her without his permission and then seek his approval, for a father does not have the right to prevent his adult, mature son from marrying whomever he wishes.
