Should a wife seek divorce from her husband who abuses her, prevents her from seeing her family, takes her money, and does not provide for her, or should she be patient for the sake of her unborn child?

The husband is legally obligated to treat his wife well and to spend on her in a reasonable manner. If the wife is harmed, she has the right to seek divorce due to harm, after deliberation and seeking divine guidance (istikharah). The husband's ill-treatment and cursing of his in-laws are despicable traits, and he should be reminded of Allah and advised. It is not permissible for the husband to prevent the wife's parents from visiting her unless there is demonstrable harm. It is not permissible to accuse a Muslim of witchcraft without clear proof. If the wedding ring is part of the dowry or a gift, it is the wife's property, and the husband is not permitted to take it from her.
