What is the ruling on saying: "And for us in imagination there is life"? And what is the ruling on speaking about a parallel world, that world of virtues devoid of flaws?

The saying "And for you, there is life in imagination" is false. It is one of the manifestations of glorifying imagination and daydreams, to which idlers resort as an escape from reality and out of laziness to work. This is blameworthy, for a person does not succeed in this world or the Hereafter merely through fantasies and illusions. Ibn al-Qayyim condemned indulging in daydreams, considering them the capital of the bankrupt and the merchandise of the idlers. This preoccupation with imagination and the waste of time and energy therein are among the calamities that have afflicted the Ummah. A Muslim must occupy their heart with the religious sciences and contemplation of Allah's signs, and keep away from thinking about forbidden things.
