Is it permissible to take one's right from the company by recording fictitious overtime hours, given that the company failed to fulfill its promise of disbursing a deserved raise for achieving a certain sales target?

The company must fulfill its promise to increase wages or bonuses after the completion of the work, based on Allah’s (the Most High) saying: (O you who have believed, fulfill [all] contracts) and His saying: (And fulfill [every] covenant. Indeed, every covenant will be questioned). And based on the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: (Muslims are bound by their stipulations) and (Give the laborer his wages before his sweat dries), which is a metaphor for the obligation to promptly give the right after the work is finished. It is not permissible for employees to cheat or lie to obtain their rights if the company falls short; rather, they must advise the officials, demand their rights, and be patient, or refer the matter to the Sharia court if evidence is available. It is not permissible to take wages without the employer's knowledge and permission, as ruled by the Permanent Committee and Ibn Uthaymeen, except in the case of financial support only.
