Should Muslims coexist with homosexuality or reject it?
Describing homosexuality as normal is not accepted, as many rational people denounce it and consider it a sexual deviation, a corruption of nature, and a perversion of the innate disposition (fitra). One should not pay attention to those who justify it as personal freedom, for this was the path of the people of Lot, whose innate disposition was inverted. Moreover, it is not a normal matter, even if some laws approve of it, as many systems prohibit it, and it is forbidden in the Islamic Sharia. Allah destroyed a nation because of it and legislated a worldly punishment for it.
This act must be denounced and hated, and its practitioners must be hated, for that is from faith. Every capable and qualified person should offer advice to those afflicted with this disease among Muslims and strive to reform them with wisdom and good admonition. This should be a collective effort from governmental institutions, community organizations, and specialists in legal, social, and psychiatric fields, to search for the causes and treat each case appropriately.
