The question

Is homosexuality natural, something a person is born with, and what do we answer to Muslims afflicted by it who question Islam's prohibition of it? Is what is forbidden only the relationship between two men, or is it the act of sodomy?

The answer

We advise you not to believe everything that is said until you verify it. We are certain that sodomy is full of corruptions, and it suffices that Allah has forbidden it because it is among the impure things and encompasses corruptions. The preludes to sodomy have also been forbidden. Even if we concede the validity of the claim that sodomy is innate, Allah created man and woman, and each inclines towards the other, yet He forbade adultery. These individuals must avoid sin, strive in repentance, and beware of beautifying the ugly, for Allah leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills.
