Is it obligatory to follow a specific fatwa when there is a difference in jurisprudential opinions, or is it permissible to adopt any opinion as long as there is a difference?

Whoever is not qualified to examine the evidence must follow someone he trusts from among the people of knowledge. An ordinary person must follow the most knowledgeable and pious scholar. So, he should consider which scholar he deems most knowledgeable and trustworthy to follow. If they are equal or he is unable to favor one over the other, then what he is required to do is explained in Fatwa no. 122032.
