Did the Arabs in Jahiliyyah circumcise their sons, or did the Muslims do so when they were adults after the revelation descended?

Circumcision is among the traditions of the prophets. Abraham, peace be upon him, was circumcised when he was eighty years old. Circumcision continued after him among the messengers and their followers. The Arabs, during their pre-Islamic era, practiced circumcision in emulation of the tradition of Abraham, peace be upon him. The proof of this is that Heraclius asked Abu Sufyan about the Arabs, and Abu Sufyan informed him that they practiced circumcision.
