Is working as an employee in a usurious bank Islamically forbidden (haram)?

Working in usurious banks is not permissible شرعًا (Islamically), because it falls under the category of cooperating in sin and aggression. Allah تعالى said: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression." The warning against usury is not limited to its consumer or provider only, but includes everyone who contributes to its execution, due to the saying of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم: "Allah has cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who provides it, the one who writes it down, and the two who witness it," and he said: "They are all equal." Therefore, one must seek lawful (halal) employment.
