Is it permissible to break a spell on a bewitched person by using sorcery?

Breaking a spell (sihr) for someone afflicted by it can be done in two ways: The first is by using legitimate Islamic incantations (ruqya shar'iyya), prophetic supplications for protection (ta'awwudhat nabawiyya), and permissible remedies. This is permissible within its Islamic guidelines. The second is by using the actions of sorcerers, by drawing close to the jinn, or by consulting soothsayers, diviners, and charlatans. This is not permissible; rather, it is major shirk (definition) (polytheism), and the Prophet, peace be upon him, warned against approaching them and believing them. An-Nushra, which is the act of undoing a spell, if it is done through the practices of the people of Jahiliyya (pre-Islamic ignorance) by consulting a sorcerer or by using a similar type of sorcery, then it is an act of Satan. However, undoing a spell through ruqya and legitimate Islamic supplications for protection, and permissible remedies, there is no harm in that.
