What is the method for treating sorcery?

It is not permissible to treat sorcery with sorcery, for it is from the work of Satan and an act of worship to devils. Rather, it is treated with the Holy Quran, permissible medications, and lawful Ruqyah, such as reciting Al-Fatihah, Ayatul-Kursi, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Mu'awwidhat, and the noble prophetic supplications. The bewitched person may not necessarily be cured, because healing is in the hands of Allah the Almighty, and when the appointed time of death arrives, no medicine will avail. One can recite the verses of sorcery from Surat Al-A'raf, Yunus, and Taha into water, along with Al-Fatihah, Ayatul-Kursi, Al-Ikhlas, and Al-Mu'awwidhatayn. Seven crushed green sidr leaves may also be added and poured over the bewitched person. The important thing is for both the healer and the bewitched person to have sincere faith and trust in Allah.
