Is it permissible to carry the Mus'haf during an obligatory prayer and during Qiyam al-Layl when forgetting some verses, or for the purpose of completing the recitation of the Qur'an? Is it forbidden to avoid sitting with a very nervous father who curses his children, and how can one deal with him to earn his pleasure without harm?

It is permissible to recite from the Mus'haf (Qur'an) during prayer, but it is better to avoid it. The rights of parents are great and are not forfeited by their misconduct. Therefore, the son should strive to honor his father. A father's supplication against his son, when unjustly made, will not be answered and will not harm the son.
