Is it permissible for one who has not memorized the Qur'an to read from the Mus'haf and interpret its words during the Qiyam al-Layl prayer?

It is permissible for a worshipper, whether performing a fard (obligatory) or nafl (supererogatory) prayer, to read from the Mus'haf (Qur'an). Even if they turn its pages occasionally, their prayer is not invalidated. As for looking at the meanings of the Qur'an without uttering them verbally, it is disliked (makruh (definition)), and uttering them verbally invalidates the prayer. If one looks at something written other than the Qur'an and repeats its contents to themselves without verbalizing, their prayer is not invalidated, even if it takes a long time, but it is disliked.
