Does the reward for the deceased's Hajj reach him as if he himself performed it, and does it expiate his sins and transgressions, making him "as his mother bore him," despite his death?

Performing Hajj on behalf of deceased parents is permissible, and its reward reaches them fully, provided the son has performed Hajj for himself and has performed it free from obscenity and transgression. This is because the Ahadith do not differentiate between the reward of Hajj performed for oneself or for one's parents. Rather, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, likened performing Hajj on behalf of the deceased to settling a debt for them. It is recommended to perform Hajj on behalf of deceased or incapacitated parents. It is preferable to begin with Hajj for the mother in voluntary Hajj or if it is obligatory for both of them. However, if it is obligatory for the father but not for her, then one should begin with him because it is an obligation.
