What is incumbent upon one who stoned Jamarat al-Aqaba on the morning of the twelfth of Dhul-Hijjah, performed the farewell circumambulation, and then traveled, thinking that stoning after zawal (midday) would cause him to miss his travel time?
It is not permissible to stone (the Jamarat) before Zawwal (midday) except out of necessity. In such a case, the thrower must offer a ransom (fidyah), which is slaughtered in Mina or Makkah and distributed among the poor.
