Is it permissible to distribute sweets and popcorn on the seventh day of a newborn's birth to bring joy to children, knowing that candles, mortars, and sieves are forbidden?

"There is no harm in celebrating the newborn by distributing sweets and nuts, as long as it does not replace the 'aqiqah (sacrificial offering for a newborn). This is among the permissible acts intended to bring joy and generosity to family and children. Whoever claims it is an innovation (bid'ah) has strayed far, as an innovation requires the intention of drawing closer to Allah through an act, and the basic principle for such matters is permissibility."
