The answer

Commercial insurance is Islamically forbidden in all its forms due to the elements of gharar (excessive uncertainty) and maysir (gambling) it contains. A Muslim is not permitted to engage in it except in cases of extreme necessity, such as someone who is compelled to sell their car and cannot do so without commercial insurance, and finds no other alternative. In such a case, their necessity is evaluated proportionally. As for someone who has no necessity, commercial insurance is not permissible for them.
