Is it permissible for a Muslim to work as a paid agent—not as a partner—for a mandatory car insurance company to facilitate obtaining the insurance policy and reduce its cost?

It is permissible to work as an agent for an insurance company if the insurance is free from gharar (excessive uncertainty), jahalah (ignorance regarding the subject matter), and riba (interest), which is rare. The state's imposition of insurance does not make it permissible to work in it if it contains শরয়ী (Shari'ah-compliant) prohibitions. What is unlawful is not made lawful by man-made laws. And whoever is compelled to have insurance out of necessity should limit it to the

minimum legally required.
