Is it permissible to read or write romantic poetry that speaks of a man's abstract feelings towards a woman with the intention of reciting it to one's wife? And is it permissible to read the scripts of films and series that contain prohibitions when watching them, given that the reading is solely for the hobby of reading stories?

All praise is due to Allah for guiding you to refrain from listening to singing and music. As for reading romantic poetry (ghazal) and praising women (tashbeeb), there is no harm in it so long as it is not obscene, does not pertain to a specific woman, and is not excessively indulged in. It is forbidden to praise a specific woman or an effeminate boy (ghulam amrad). It is permissible to praise one's wife or female slave, as long as it does not describe her intimate parts. It is also permissible to praise an unspecified woman, provided it does not contain obscenity or any indication of a specific person. As for reading the stories of TV series, they often contain indecency and stir up hidden desires in souls, creating an inclination towards those who have corrupted the minds of the Ummah and wasted their time. It is obligatory to detest them and turn away from them, unless a story is found to be free from such prohibitions.
