What is the ruling of Islam on working in hotels?

If you intend to work in a hotel, you must ensure that it is free from prohibitions. It is not permissible to work in a hotel where immoral acts are committed, or where alcoholic beverages are served, or where licentious parties are held that involve indecency, dancing, musical instruments, and free mixing. The important thing is that the hotel should have a clean reputation and dealings, far from শরী‘আ (Islamic law) violations. If it is so, then it is permissible for you to work there; otherwise, it is not.
