What is the religious ruling on considering bad or good events that occur after a young man proposes to a girl as a "bad omen" or a "good omen"? And are these divine signs or superstitious beliefs?

The Islamic standard for accepting or rejecting a suitor is their religious commitment and character, based on the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) saying: "If someone whose character and religious commitment you are pleased with comes to you, then marry him. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation on earth and widespread corruption." As for connecting the rejection of a suitor to the occurrence of a problem or the breaking of something, this holds no weight and falls under the category of divination (tatayyur), which is forbidden in Islam. Therefore, a Muslim must beware of resembling the people of pre-Islamic ignorance (Jahiliyyah) and adhere to the Islamic standard for accepting a suitor if he is upright in his religious commitment and character.
