What is the ruling regarding divorcing a respectful and well-mannered wife, whom one has been married to for only one year and with whom there are no children, simply because the husband does not feel love towards her and wishes to marry another woman, especially considering the difficulty of the divorce situation and the kinship between the spouses? And is this divorce considered an injustice to the wife?

The general rule for divorce is that it is disliked, and it may be forbidden if there is no need for it. It is the most detestable of lawful things to Allah. It was reported from Imam Ahmad that it is forbidden because it causes harm. It is advised not to divorce a good wife, for good treatment may generate love. The Sharia encourages retaining one's wife, even if the husband dislikes her, as long as she is righteous, as Allah Almighty says: "And live with them in kindness. For if you dislike them - perhaps you dislike a thing and Allah makes therein much good." (Quran 4:19) And as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "No believing man should hate a believing woman. If he dislikes one of her characteristics, he will be pleased with another." You are permitted to marry another woman while retaining the first, as Allah Almighty says: "Then marry those that please you of [other] women, two or three or four." (Quran 4:3), with the obligation of being just between them in lodging, but not in emotions.
